Concept to Completion

I’ve been doing consistent work for truMedic for a few years now. truMedic as a brand has grown tremendously in a very short time having various talk show appearances like, “Strahan and Sara” and “Good Morning America”. With the coming of new products I’ll test and analyze certain features and decide how to best showcase them on video. truMedic’s new truShiatsuPRO foot massager was getting a big reveal on “The View” in only a few weeks time — I had to quickly conceptualize, pitch, shoot and edit a promotional video to coincide with the sale of the truShiatsuPRO. I was asked to star in the video myself which made production all the more difficult — having planned numerous scene changes on camera I had to come up with an easy solution.

truMedic's new InstaShiatsuPRO foot massager with heat is the latest in massage technology! Packed with different massage modes, timer options and heat! Get yours today! https://trumedic.com/product/trushiatsupro-foot-massager-heat/

Having constructed a few props to use in the video I figured the best way to simulate a moving camera between transitions was to shoot a very high resolution and animate the camera in post. Originally the video was meant to be longer and more informative, but between construction, setup, and shooting — I had only a few weeks until the show would air. I shot on the Blackmagic Ursa Mini Pro camera in full 4.6K resolution. I cut and color graded in Premiere, and used Photoshop and After Effects for visual effects. Sure it’s tacky and over the top but I’m pretty darn happy with the final result :)

With only weeks until truMedic's feature on "The View" we hustled to bring a new product video to life. From concept to completion in only 2 weeks! Shot on Blackmagic cameras and edited in Adobe suite. Check out Kings Park Studios for your next production! https://www.kingsparkstudios.com/
