AT&T College Football Championship Playoffs

I had the chance to work with a creative team for AT&T during the College Football Playoff National Championship in Houston this year.
Our job was to produce several reels for AT&T’s instagram and tiktok accounts. We were slotted to cover AT&T’s booth during Fan Central events at the George Brown convention center. We shot meet and greets with college and NFL stars, live Q&A segments, and interactive experiences. The catch was, we had to have rough cuts within an hour or so right after shooting each segment, so there was a lot of running around and improvising in order to stay on track.

Also got to touch a piece of the moon at NASA's booth 🌑

In this Q&A, which was completely run and gun, required AI in order to clean up the audio since the music playing at the booth was almost unbearably loud. A few years ago, it wouldn’t have been possible to correct the audio in a situation like this. AI has made huge strides in becoming a loyal assistant in many aspects of content creation without hindering the original concept.

The last leg of the trip covered AT&T’s concert kickoff for both Saturday and Sunday shows featuring Jack Harlow, Jake Owen, Megan Moroney, Latto, and Jon Pardi. We scheduled to interview Jack Harlow and Latto as part of a Q&A comedy bit. At this point, the team split up to manage what time we had and coordinate with talent managers. We had brought a 2 camera setup, lights, audio, and backdrops backstage to shoot the Q&A bits. We have limited time with each artist so it was imperative we nail everything first shot.
Thankfully, we had several producers and assistants there to manage gear and arrange transport, which was a huge relief.

We shot a “Snack Draft” Q&A with Shedeur Sanders, Deion Sanders’ son and Dillon Bell, wide receiver for the Georgia Bulldogs. We had a half hour to setup, shoot, and breakdown. The hardest part was actually getting into the stadium loading area because security was top notch.

We had to wrap all edits by Monday morning in order for AT&T to go live on social. We were making last minute revisions up until the posts were scheduled and thankfully, we wrapped just in time.
